RWS has been created for confirmation of the usage of ethical practices for ensuring the welfare of the animals that are used in wool production and for land usage. Besides monitoring of obtaining wool from sheep in a responsible manner, the standard also aims to protect the rights of the workers and improve land usage.
USB Certification, as a Content Claim Standard (CCS) accredited certification body, is able to provide certification in RWS for all manufacturers in the supply chain that are in the scope of secondary scope that is after the primary farm production.
In CCS certification processes, based on chain of custody, producers are audited for correct documentation, volume reconciliation, and separate storage management to ensure traceability.
The Standard is applicable to all products containing at least 5% RWS.
