USB Certification Participates in Textile Exchange MMS Certification Procedures Pilot
USB Certification has participated as an audit service provider in Textile Exchange-led pilot audits for the criteria for certification bodies of the Materials Matter Standard. The pilots were conducted in recycling facilities in Türkiye and India.
The pilots focused on testing and evaluating draft criteria for certification bodies, with the aim of providing practical, implementation-based technical feedback to support the ongoing development of the standard. USB Certification’s audit and technical team applied the draft criteria in real audit settings and shared structured observations on audit workflows and assessment criteria.
The Materials Matter Standard is a voluntary sustainability standard for the production and primary processing of raw materials used in the fashion, textile, and apparel industry. It sets out to incentivize a world in which the materials in our clothing and textiles are produced in a way that respects climate, nature, people, and animals
