This prestigious registration has once again crowned the unique quality and deep-rooted history of Aydın Memecik Olive in the international arena. Thus, Aydın Memecik Olive has become a recognised brand not only in Turkey but also worldwide. 

Aydın Memecik Olives also became the 31st Turkish product to be granted a geographical indication registration by the EU. This important development will contribute to the further strengthening of Turkish agriculture and olive cultivation in the international arena in the future. Moreover, the geographical indication registration reveals that this unique olive is unique to the Memecik region of Aydın and that the soil, climate and production techniques of this region make this product different from others. 

With the geographical indication registration, the production, quality standards and commercial value of Aydın Memecik Olive will increase; in addition to being a source of motivation for local producers, it will encourage increased investments in the olive growing sector.
