Global Recycled Standard is a product standard which is formed to monitor and verify the content of recycled materials in the last product by fulfilling the requirements of solid production. It determines the requirements for international, voluntary, 3rd party certification of recycle content, chain of custody, social and environmental conditions and chemical restrictions.This standard can be applied to the companies which produce or sell GRS products. It includes the processing, production, packaging, labeling and distribution of materials that contains minimum %20 recycled material.
GRS Certification is not obligatory for material collection and material concentration processes, but they should declare that their processes are convenient to the aim of standard and ready to be audited by any certification company. The product diversity which can be certified is not limited just with the textile products.
