The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol), two of the world’s most respected standards-setting organisations, have announced a strategic partnership to end the confusion surrounding corporate carbon footprint calculations.
Announced at a major webinar on 20 February 2026, attended by over 4,000 business representatives from around the world, this collaboration is considered a new milestone in sustainability reporting.
Carbon Reporting Now More Transparent and Consistent
The primary objective of this partnership is to eliminate the data confusion caused by different methodologies. Combining the standardisation power of ISO with the widespread use of the GHG Protocol, this synergy aims to make carbon accounting as disciplined and auditable as financial reporting.
