Better Cotton has renewed its Strategic Partnership with Cotton Australia until 2027, strengthening their commitment to sustainably produced cotton.

Since 2014, Cotton Australia’s myBMP Standard has been recognized as equivalent to the Better Cotton Standard System (BCSS), allowing Australian farmers to market their cotton as Better Cotton globally. In the 2023/24 season, licensed farmers produced over 400,000 metric tonnes of Better Cotton—accounting for 40% of Australia’s total cotton production.

With the implementation of Better Cotton’s updated Principles & Criteria (P&C) v.3.0, Cotton Australia’s revised myBMP Standard will be fully integrated by the 2025/26 season. This continued alignment ensures that cotton farmers can meet growing global demand for more sustainable cotton.
