IFS Announces New ‘Deforestation Control’ Tool

IFS has unveiled its ‘IFS Deforestation Control’ tool, developed to facilitate companies’ compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

The new tool consists of an online questionnaire designed to assess deforestation risks in supply chains and an audit process that can be activated when necessary. This enables businesses to strengthen the sustainability of their supply chains while effectively complying with EUDR requirements.

IFS Deforestation Control is currently accessible via the ImpactBuying platform. It will soon be available free of charge via osapiens and the IFS Database.

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) will come into force on 30 December 2025 for large and medium-sized businesses and on 30 June 2026 for small businesses. Therefore, it is crucial for companies to start making the necessary preparations now and assess deforestation risks in their supply chains.

This new tool developed by IFS provides businesses with strong support not only for legal compliance but also for achieving their sustainability goals.
