UpLink Community Avoided 142,400 Tonnes of CO₂ Emissions

In the period 2023-2024, the World Economic Forum’s UpLink initiative contributed to preventing a total of 142,400 tonnes of CO₂ emissions through projects in sustainable energy, agriculture and production. This is equivalent to the annual emissions of approximately 30,220 vehicles. 

UpLink aims to create environmental, social and economic benefits through innovative solutions of early-stage entrepreneurs. During this period, UpLink projects not only provided environmentally friendly solutions, but also created 30,699 new jobs and increased the incomes of small-scale farmers. 

The World Economic Forum recognises UpLink’s contribution to achieving sustainability goals and emphasises the need to further support such initiatives. UpLink continues to be an important platform contributing to the achievement of global sustainability goals.
