USB Certification has announced the expansion of its existing accreditation for Textile Exchange certification programmes to a global scope. Formalised in May 2026, this expansion marks a significant milestone in the organisation’s international service capability. With the new scope, USB Certification is now authorised to deliver certification services worldwide in accordance with Textile Exchange requirements, supporting clients across diverse regions with internationally recognised solutions.
Under the expanded accreditation, USB Certification is authorised to conduct certification activities under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Recycled Claim Standard (RCS), Organic Content Standard (OCS), and Content Claim Standard (CCS). This scope covers textile, plastic, metal, and paper product categories, and also includes trading, warehousing, and distribution operations. Within these standards, USB Certification continues to support organisations in meeting the growing requirements related to recycled content, responsible sourcing, and supply chain transparency.
The transition to global scope concretely demonstrates USB Certification’s compliance with internationally recognised requirements for impartiality, technical competence, and consistency. The International Organic Accreditation Service (IOAS), which granted the accreditation, has confirmed USB Certification’s capacity to deliver credible and transparent certification services across global textile and material supply chains. This step enables audits that verify the traceability and integrity of certified materials throughout processing, manufacturing, trading, and brand stages to be conducted across a wider geographical reach.
With the expanded scope, USB Certification has strengthened its capacity to deliver consistent and effective certification services on a global scale through its office network comprising its head office in Türkiye and additional offices in Bangladesh, China, India, Pakistan, Morocco, and Italy. Drawing on its technical expertise in textile production, recycling systems, and supply chain verification, USB Certification continues to streamline certification processes for organisations with international operations and to enhance its clients’ recognition in global markets.
