We are proud to announce that USB Certification is now one of the pioneering signatories to Textiles 2030 (WRAP), the UK’s most ambitious voluntary agreement aimed at reducing the environmental impact of clothing and home textiles in line with the Paris Agreement and the UN Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action.
As part of Textiles 2030 (WRAP), signatories use a ‘Target Measure Act’ approach to minimize the impact of fashion and homewares products across the UK. As an Affiliate, USB Certification will bring its expertise to assist brands and recycling organizations in setting ambitious goals, measuring the environmental impact of our products, and tracking individual progress toward achieving national sustainability targets.
By 2030, signatories are committed to reducing their combined greenhouse gas emissions in line with a 1.5°C UN trajectory, cutting their carbon impact by 50%, reducing the water footprint of products sold by 30%, and following a circularity roadmap. This roadmap will ensure products are designed for recyclability, increase reuse, and prioritise circular materials over linear raw materials in new products.
USB Certification is honoured to be an Affiliate of Textiles 2030 (WRAP). Through this groundbreaking 10-year collaboration, we are committed to providing data, expertise, and academic support to our industry partners, furthering our shared sustainability goals.
