Zara has completely renovated its Trafford Centre store in the United Kingdom, transforming a 32,291 m² space into a “high-tech store” concept that brings together fashion, technology, and above all, sustainability.
The store’s design emphasizes energy efficiency, recycling infrastructure, and the use of environmentally friendly materials. Lighting is provided by low-consumption LED systems, while intelligent air conditioning and energy management technologies aim to reduce the store’s carbon footprint.
Zara also encourages customers to take part in this sustainable transformation. The store includes collection points for recyclable packaging, bins for used clothing donations, and a repair service reservation area — all supporting a circular economy approach and minimizing textile waste.
Equipped with advanced technology, the store features an automatic garment sorting system, enhanced return stations, and digital payment zones. Customers can check real-time product availability through the Zara app and conveniently collect their online orders in-store.
In addition to women’s, men’s, and children’s collections, the store also offers the exclusive Zara Origins and Zara Athleticz lines, reflecting Zara’s vision for sustainable fashion and intelligent retail.
With this next-generation store concept, Zara aims not only to transform the shopping experience but also to promote a culture of sustainable living.
