ZDHC Launches Version 2 of Its Supplier to Zero Programme

On 6 August, ZDHC announced Version 2 of its Supplier to Zero programme, published on 31 July 2026. The organisation states that the update provides a practical framework that recognises progress, strengthens chemical management and supports continuous improvement.

Supplier to Zero is described as a supplier engagement programme enabling suppliers to assess their sustainable chemical management practices under ZDHC’s Roadmap to Zero programme and to demonstrate their progress. With the new version, performance can be reported across three levels. Assessments are carried out through the updated Supplier Platform; the Supplier to Zero V2 Manual, containing the version’s requirements and guidance, and updated knowledge base resources have also been made available.

A six-month transition period will apply between 1 August 2026 and 31 January 2027. Supplier to Zero V2 will become mandatory on 1 February 2027. The organisation recommends that suppliers use this period to review the updated requirements on the platform, read the manual and prepare for their next assessment. ZDHC made two further announcements in August: the renewed ZDHC Gateway platform went live and its signatory community reached 400 organisations.
