The Organic Content Standard (OCS) is an international, voluntary standard that provides supply chain verification for materials obtained from a field certified according to recognized national organic standards. The standard is used to verify organically grown raw materials from the farm to the final product.Facilities are certified by independent third-party certification bodies through annual audits. The raw material containing organic content is tracked from the field to the final product in accordance with the requirements of the Textile Exchange’s Content Claim Standard (CCS). The OCS certification is valid for the entire supply chain of organically grown content: first processing, manufacturing, Packaging and labeling, storage, handling, and shipping process through a vendor from business to business after the final operation. The purpose of the Organic Content Standard (OCS) is to increase organic agricultural production. The Organic Content Standard (OCS) is applied to products containing between 5% to 100% organic material, excluding food products.
