USB Certification Adds Recycled Leather Products to Its Textile Exchange Accreditation Scope

As USB Certification, we have added recycled leather products to our Textile Exchange accreditation scope. With this expansion, we provide certification services under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS 4.0) and the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS 2.0) for the recycling, production, storage and trading of leather products.

The most significant aspect of the expansion is that the scope is not limited to a single stage of the recycling supply chain. The new scope covers every actor in the chain, from recycling and production to storage and trading. Our accreditation also includes recycling sites, meaning that recycled leather content can be certified from the very starting point of the chain.

Thanks to our global accreditation, this new scope benefits not just a single market but a broad geography: applications can be submitted from many countries, including Türkiye, China, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Morocco and Italy. As USB Certification, we continue to receive applications from stakeholders seeking recycled content certification for their leather products and to support the recycling value chain through our certification services under GRS and RCS.
