Rainforest Alliance Launches Free Human Rights Due Diligence E-Course and Toolkit

The Rainforest Alliance has recently introduced an innovative new e-course and toolkit on Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD), available for free to the public. Originally designed for farmer groups and mining associations in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, this resource is applicable across various sectors and regions, offering valuable tools that can be adapted for use by companies and other organizations.

Navigating human rights issues can be especially challenging for smallholder farmers and small-scale miners. The HRDD Toolkit aims to assist in addressing serious concerns such as forced labor, child labor, workplace violence, and harassment. It provides a robust collection of templates, guides, and resources, with careful attention to gender-related issues integrated throughout the course.
