IFS has launched the ‘IFS Local’ programme, designed specifically for small-scale producers. This new programme aims to make it easier for local businesses struggling to complete complex certification processes to work with large retailers.
The structure, which allows producers to gradually increase their food safety capacity, enables small businesses to prove their quality without being overwhelmed by heavy technical requirements. Adopting a flexible model, the system prepares businesses step by step for full IFS Food certification, paving the way for local flavours to find more space on the shelves. Retailers, meanwhile, gain the opportunity to minimise risks in their supply chains and secure reliable local partners through this programme.
