A Vision for Sustainability in the Food and Agriculture Sector: Our Events in Ordu and Rize Have Concluded

USB Certification continues to bring the latest developments in food safety and sustainability to industry professionals. The event series titled ‘A New Era in Supply Chain, Food Safety and Sustainability in the Light of IFS and Rainforest Alliance Standards’ was successfully held in Ordu and Rize.

The programmes, hosted by the Ordu Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 20 April and the Rize Commodity Exchange on 21 April, attracted significant interest from sector stakeholders in the region.

During the sessions moderated by Derya Büyükyıldırım, Food and Agriculture Certification Manager at USB Certification, Ezgi Dedebaş Uğur, IFS Turkey Representative, and Furkan Can Öncü, Rainforest Alliance Turkey Representative, presented the new standards and strategic approaches to the participants.

Throughout the event, global trends in food safety, sustainable supply chain management, and the innovations introduced by Rainforest Alliance and IFS standards were discussed in detail. Through interactive presentations and productive exchanges, the aim was to support the agricultural export potential of the Black Sea region with international standards.
