Türk Gıda Kodeksi Mikotoksin Seviyeleriyle İlgili Yeni Tebliğ Yayımlandı

In the Official Gazette dated 26 March 2025 and numbered 32853, an important regulation within the scope of the Turkish Food Codex entered into force. The ‘Communiqué on Sampling and Analysis Method Criteria for the Official Control of Mycotoxin Levels in Foods ’ (Communiqué No: 2025/7) introduces new criteria for the official control processes of mycotoxins.

With the new communiqué, the sampling methods and analysis criteria to be applied for the detection of mycotoxins in food products that may threaten public health have been updated. The purpose of this regulation is both to ensure consumer health and to ensure standardisation for food safety in national and international trade.

The Communiqué includes technical details on the steps to be followed during sampling, the minimum conditions required for the validity of the analysis results and the analysis methodologies to be applied in laboratories.

With the practices to be carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, it is aimed to establish a more effective and scientific control mechanism throughout the food chain.
