USB Certification Transitions to TÜRKAK Accreditation for BRCGS and IFS
USB Certification has become the first certification body accredited by TÜRKAK for the BRCGS and IFS certification programmes. Following the publication of our TÜRKAK accreditation on 4 June 2026, the transition of our BRCGS- and IFS-certified clients’ certificates from DAkkS accreditation to TÜRKAK accreditation has been completed.
Why move to TÜRKAK?
TÜRKAK joined the authorised accreditation bodies for BRCGS in 2023 and for IFS in 2025.
As a certification body headquartered in Turkey, moving our accreditation to TÜRKAK, the national accreditation body, was a natural step envisaged by the legislation. The transition is based on the principle, set out in Regulation (EC) No 765/2008 and EA-2/13 M:2019, that a conformity assessment body should be accredited by the national accreditation body of the country in which it is established.
What changes for certificate holders?
Nothing changes. USB Certification continues to deliver the same quality of service under the authorisations it holds from BRCGS and IFS and the corresponding ISO/IEC 17065 accreditation.
Do the certificates remain internationally valid?
Yes. The change of accreditation body does not affect the international validity of the certificates we issue. Because the authorisations for the BRCGS and IFS standards are obtained from the respective scheme owners, and because TÜRKAK is a signatory to the EA and GLOBAL ACI mutual recognition arrangements, the certificates we issue under TÜRKAK accreditation continue to be recognised in international markets.
