USB Certification Takes Its Place at the Organic Farming Panel

The panel titled ‘Planning Organic Farming for a Sustainable Future,’ held in Izmir on 23 September 2025, brought together leading institutions and representatives of the sector. The event, organised in collaboration with the Izmir Chamber of Commerce, Izmir Commodity Exchange, Aegean Exporters’ Associations and the Ecological Agriculture Organisation Association (ETO), addressed the future of organic farming, sustainable production models and the effects of climate change on agricultural production.

Sevgi Kansoy, Director of Agricultural Programmes at USB Certification’s Food and Agriculture Department, also participated in the panel. Kansoy highlighted USB Certification’s work in the field of organic farming and the importance of certification processes for sustainable production, emphasising the company’s support for environmentally friendly production practices.

The panel highlighted that organic farming is not just a production method, but also a system that preserves ecological balance and aims to leave a liveable world for future generations. Participants exchanged views on topics such as traceability, quality standards, farmer training and raising consumer awareness in organic production.

The event was considered a productive platform where industry stakeholders came together to share information and strengthen the vision of sustainable agriculture. USB Certification continues to participate in such organisations, both to contribute to sustainability goals and to raise awareness in the field of organic farming.
