USB Certification Supports Regional Transformation in the Textile Sector

USB Certification addressed the regional transformation agenda in the textile sector through the Kahramanmaraş Sustainability Meeting held on February 17, 2026, hosted by Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KMTSO). The event, organized in collaboration with Habitat Association, Swatchloop, and Digi Fair EcoSys, provided an important platform to discuss the sector’s sustainability strategies on a regional scale.

The event featured USB Certification Founder and CEO Nesrin Serin, USB Certification Technical and Quality Manager Ali Ertuğrul, Swatchloop Co-Founder Servet Gül, Habitat Association Sustainability Program Director Nilay Abınık Akçalı, KMTSO Sustainability Center Director Halil Ibrahim Culfuk, and Digifair Digital Marketing Manager Serkan Küçükberber. Speakers addressed a wide range of topics from current developments in EU legislation to sustainable textile standards, from circular economy models to digital traceability infrastructures.

The meeting demonstrated that Kahramanmaraş’s strong production infrastructure is ready to take an active role in sustainability transformation. It was emphasized that sustainability is no longer just a compliance issue, but a strategic element that determines competitiveness.

Held in Kahramanmaraş, one of Turkey’s leading textile production centers, this gathering served as a tangible sign that the sustainability transformation agenda is no longer confined to major global brands but is increasingly shaping regional production ecosystems as well. USB Certification continues to share its certification and standards expertise at platforms that bring together local and international stakeholders.
