In our latest engagement, we were part of the insightful panel titled “How do we risk manage our suppliers? Real life issues and stories.” Our very own Fulya M. Kılınçoğlu, Food and Consumer Products Schemes Manager at USB Certification, shared the stage with industry experts like Samuel Barrett (Yum! Brands), Sarah Whiting (2 Sisters Food Group), Claire Yates (Co-operative Group Limited), and Carmel Lynskey (Food Standards Agency) to delve into the critical aspects of supplier risk management through real-world examples and experiences, showcasing our active role in shaping industry standards and practices.
At the recent panel, Fulya M. Kılınçoğlu, USB Certification’s Food and Consumer Products Schemes Manager, delivered an insightful presentation on the complexities of supply chain management, particularly highlighting the critical areas of risk including food fraud, pesticide residues, allergens, and foreign bodies. Drawing from her extensive experience, Kılınçoğlu emphasized the challenges posed by fluctuating inflation rates and the need for key personnel to fully grasp and address these risks effectively. Her talk underscored the importance of adapting risk assessments to current conditions to ensure the integrity and safety of the supply chain, offering valuable perspectives for industry stakeholders.
