Stay informed on consumer protection. Learn about the Ministry of Trade’s updated regulations on digital advertising and commercial practices.

As part of legislative updates aimed at ensuring more effective protection of consumer rights in the digital environment, amendments to the ‘Regulation on Commercial Advertising and Unfair Commercial Practices’ were published in the Official Gazette No. 33297 dated 1 July 2026 and have come into force.

With the rapid rise of digitalisation, consumers are now exposed to commercial advertisements and promotions more intensely than ever before, making it essential to strengthen the protective framework in this area. The new regulations aim to prevent misleading advertising and unfair commercial practices, whilst maximising transparency in processes and consumer confidence.

At USB Certification, we closely monitor all such updates to legislation and sector-specific regulations; we continue to conduct our operations with the utmost care, guided by the principles of transparency, trust and full compliance with the law.

Detailed information regarding the legislation can be found in the Official Gazette.
