GLOBALG.A.P.

GLOBALG.A.P. International Good Agricultural Practices Standard is the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP: Good Agriculture Practice) protocol of the European Retailers Agricultural Products Working Group. In order to carry out studies on this protocol, a private non-profit association with its headquarters in Germany was established in 1999. The aim of this association is to determine the minimum standards required for agricultural products grown in their own countries and imported from abroad, by making a new regulation, so that large retailers can ensure healthy consumption of agricultural products in their own communities. GLOBALG.A.P.

Producer organizations or companies that have received the GLOBALG.A.P. certificate, based on this idea, ensure that the agricultural products they produce are of higher quality and that they are a priority in the markets of the countries they produce and export to. Especially in recent years, important problems have been experienced in terms of pesticide residues in the export of agricultural products in our country. This situation negatively affected the image of Turkish agricultural products, and many of our products exported abroad were returned. Since the GLOBALG.A.P. certificate eliminates the risk of encountering such negativities, it has started to be preferred by many manufacturers and an important step has been taken for Türkiye.

GLOBALG.A.P.; is defined as the processes that must be applied to make the agricultural production system socially viable, economically profitable and efficient, protecting human health, giving importance to animal health and welfare and the environment. With GLOBALG.A.P., producers’ income and competitiveness increase, while consumers’ health is protected.

A producer / company that has received a GLOBALG.A.P. certificate;

Harmful to human health; free of chemical, physical and microbiological residues,
Without polluting the environment and harming the natural balance,
During production, without adversely affecting the workers and the living creatures in the environment,
It certifies that it produces in accordance with agricultural regulations.

Currently, many countries, GLOBALG.A.P. does not buy fresh fruits and vegetables from producers who do not have a certificate. For this purpose, producers and fresh fruit and vegetable export companies that want to produce fresh fruits and vegetables and use them with high value, especially with exports, should definitely obtain this document.

GLOBALG.A.P. Certification; is given to the product/products that the producer/producer groups apply for certification, which makes an agricultural production and applies for this certificate and is determined to produce in accordance with the GLOBALG.A.P. Standard as a result of the inspections.

GRASP

Good Agricultural Practices are not just products, it is also about for people. That’s why GLOBALG.A.P. members developed GRASP.

GRASP stands for GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment on Social Practice. GRASP is a voluntary, ready-to-use module developed to assess farm social practices, addressing specific aspects of worker health, safety and well-being.

GRASP is designed to complement the social aspect of GLOBALG.A.P. Certification. GRASP can be evaluated in conjunction with GLOBALG.A.P. audits. The GRASP approved certification body conducts GRASP audits of production facilities. Evaluation results are then uploaded to the GLOBALG.A.P. database, which indicates the level of compliance, and these results are then visible to accessed supply chain partners and buyers.

The GRASP assessment is valid for 1 year and audits are conducted annually.

GRASP helps producers establish a good social management system on their farms. Offers buyers additional assurance. It also helps to protect “human”, one of the most important resources of the farm.

We are serving as the first institution authorized to give GRASP certificate in Türkiye.
